PassiPRO Terms of Service

1. Who we are

PassiPRO is operated by PassiPRO Oy, business ID (Y-tunnus) 3508778-3, registered at Evästie 4 B 12, 01360 Vantaa, Finland ("PassiPRO," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of passipro.com and app.passipro.com (together, the "Service").

2. What PassiPRO is

PassiPRO is an independent study and exam-preparation platform. We help you prepare for Finnish occupational license exams — currently the alcohol serving passport (Anniskelupassi) and the hygiene passport (Hygieniapassi) — through practice quizzes, course content, and progress tracking.

PassiPRO is not the official exam and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any government authority, licensing body, or official exam administrator. Passing our practice materials does not guarantee you will pass the official exam, and completing our courses does not itself grant you any license, certificate, or passport. You must register for and take the official exam through the appropriate official channel to obtain your license.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement. We do not currently verify age at signup beyond this confirmation, so you are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us.

4. Your account

• You need an email address and a password to create an account. Your account becomes active immediately upon signup.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You may not share your account, or use another person's account without permission.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably believe involve fraud or abuse, or that we're required to act on by law.

5. Purchases and access passes

• PassiPRO sells one-time, fixed-length access passes (currently 3, 7, or 14 days) to course content. These are not subscriptions and do not auto-renew.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details — Stripe handles that directly.
• Your access pass grants you use of the purchased course content until the stated expiry date/time. Once your access window ends, you lose access to that course's content unless you purchase a new pass.
• Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may change at any time for future purchases; a change in price does not affect a pass you've already bought.

6. Refunds and the money-back guarantee

We offer a money-back guarantee: if you fail the test three times within a rolling 3-month period, you may request a refund.

To request a refund:

• Email support@passipro.com with your account email and evidence of the three failed attempts (for example, the dates of the attempts and documentation of each result).
• We will review the evidence you provide to confirm the three failures fall within the same rolling 3-month period before approving the refund.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer. Outside of this guarantee, purchases are otherwise final once your access period has started, except as required by Finnish consumer protection law (see Section 7).

7. Your right of withdrawal (Finnish/EU consumer law)

If you are a consumer purchasing from within the EU, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract under Finnish consumer protection law. Because our access passes are digital content that you start using immediately upon purchase, by completing your purchase and accessing the course content, you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access begins, to the extent permitted by law. This does not affect the separate money-back guarantee described in Section 6, or any other statutory right that cannot be waived.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, resell, scrape, or publicly share course content, quiz questions, or answer keys.
• Attempt to circumvent access controls, payment requirements, or the fixed-length nature of an access pass.
• Use the Service to impersonate someone else or to provide false information.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service (e.g., attempting to overload, hack, or reverse-engineer it).

We may remove content or suspend access for accounts that violate this section.

9. Intellectual property

All course content, quiz questions, explanations, branding, and platform design are owned by PassiPRO or its licensors. Purchasing an access pass gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use that content for your own exam preparation during your access window — it does not transfer any ownership or broader license.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We work to keep course content accurate and up to date with current Finnish licensing requirements, but:

• We do not guarantee that using PassiPRO will result in you passing the official exam.
• Official exam content, format, and requirements are set by the relevant licensing authority and may change independently of our platform.
• We are not liable for outcomes of the official exam or for any licensing decision made by an official authority.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, PassiPRO's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Finnish or EU consumer protection law (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence).

12. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes in the law, our features, or our business. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where required by law, notify you (e.g., by email or an in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, though we'll aim not to reduce access you've already paid for during an active access window.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Finland, or, where you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence as permitted by EU consumer law. Consumers may also use the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
