How the hygiene passport test works

Hygiene passport questions
Who needs a hygiene passport?
Anyone who handles unpackaged, easily perishable food in a food premises needs a hygiene passport once that work has lasted at least three months. Earlier work in such tasks counts, and separate short periods are added together.
How many questions are on the test and how many must I answer correctly?
The test has 40 true/false statements. You need 34 correct (85%) to pass, and you have 45 minutes.
Can I take the test online?
No. The test is taken on paper in a supervised test room. It cannot be organised electronically, remotely or abroad.
Does the hygiene passport expire?
No. The passport is valid until further notice.
